URX6 Handguard
The URX 6 is an advanced, self-indexing handguard designed for exceptional shift resistance. It features a full-length 12:00 MIL-STD 1913 interface rail complemented by seven sides of M-LOK negative space mounting slots. This handguard seamlessly slides over the attached barrel nut, with precision alignment facilitated by an anti-rotation index tab and slot mechanism integrated into the top rail of the upper receiver. The anti-rotation and alignment elements are sleek and unobtrusive, eliminating any external snag or catch points. The handguard is secured by a robust retention nut that exerts considerable force at the attachment point, ensuring maximum stability and resistance to impact-induced shift.
Integrated Trigger Guard
The integration of the trigger guard into the lower receiver eradicates inherent weak points vulnerable to damage during installation and removal. This reinforcement fortifies the lower receiver itself, enabling the inclusion of supplementary features without jeopardizing structural integrity over prolonged use or impacts from significant heights. The integrated trigger guard preserves the tactile feel and visual appeal of the removable combat trigger guard, ensuring versatile hand placement and seamless compatibility with standard grips.
Reduced Profile Charging Handle Latches
The included ambidextrous charging handle has undergone a refinement with reduced lever lengths by .016” (4mm) to mitigate the risk of inadvertent snagging or activation. Despite their abbreviated design, the medium-length latches retain ease of accessibility, ensuring seamless operation even when wearing gloves.
Modular Selector
The versatile selector levers on both sides of the firearm can be effortlessly replaced using a simple torx. The array of lever options includes a full-length lever, a specialized “hybrid” lever designed with a scallop to prevent interference with the firing finger, a compact short lever, and a dedicated indicator lever. This wide selection of levers allows for seamless customization and can be swiftly installed or swapped on either side of the rifle.
Ambidextrous Bolt Catch and Release
The symmetrical integration of the bolt catch/release mechanism on both sides of the lower receiver exemplifies a strategic design enhancement. By replicating the precise location, shape, and protective fencing on the right side, potential hazards such as snagging and inadvertent manipulation are effectively mitigated. Moreover, the meticulous reshaping of the left side paddle introduces heightened texture and surface area, culminating in an optimized profile for the bolt release section.
3-Position QD End Plate
The enhanced end plate design now boasts three dedicated locations for securing QD sling swivels. In a strategic refinement, apart from the conventional left and right-side attachment points, a novel rear position has been introduced. This rear placement ensures optimal positioning of the QD sling connection, minimizing potential side snags and maintaining a clear path from the firing hand.
